Sora(空)
Voiced by: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
The elder 18-year-old stepbrother of Shiro. He is a virgin and has never had a girlfriend, and fears he will never get one for the rest of his life; consequently, he can be a pervert. However, at the same time, though he has perverted tendencies, he is very protective of his sister Shiro and is determined to raise her right, refusing to expose her to anything R-rated. He holds an absolute trust in her abilities and never doubts her decisions. When he was younger, Sora used to believe that humans were stupid and weak, but his faith in humanity had been restored after his first encounter with the brilliant 3-year-old Shiro. He wears a yellow shirt that says, "I Love Humanity." When playing games, Sora is excellent at analyzing the expressions and thoughts of his opponent, as well as predicting their next move (cold reading). He excels at both cheating and catching cheating. With Shiro by his side, he is confident and capable; his unwavering and charismatic presence persuades many to his belief in the potential of humankind. After winning the king election contest with Shiro, he becomes the king and representative of Elkia, the last country of Imanity. After he assumes the throne, he makes it his goal to conquer the entire world so that one day, he can challenge God. When apart from his sister, Sora loses all of his confidence and becomes extremely introverted and cowardly.
Shiro(白)
Voiced by: Ai Kayano
The younger 11-year-old stepsister of Sora. She has an innocent and composed appearance, but - like her stepbrother - has a perverted side as well. She is quite cute, described by Sora as having a "perfect, flawless beauty", however she has a complex about her breasts. She hates baths. Though younger than Sora by 7 years, she holds just as much influence in their relationship as he does, and is regarded as his equal, if not his superior. She is very attached to her brother, and unquestionably trusts his abilities and decisions. She has resolved to always follow him no matter what, and likewise, Sora promises to lead her to greatness. A born genius, Shiro is good at anything that involves calculation, and is capable of speaking over 20 languages and learning a new one within 15 minutes. She is excellent at playing chess and FPS games, but has trouble dealing with matters related to deceit and strategy. It is later revealed that she is a superb shooter: her terrifying calculation abilities allow her to grasp her enemies’ movements, and her firing intervals and dodges all take into account everything from her understanding of the enemies' movement patterns to how fast they can fire, almost verging on precognition. After winning the king election contest with Sora, she becomes the queen regnant and representative of Elkia. Shiro is determined to stay by Sora's side and together with him, conquer the world and challenge God. When she is not with Sora, Shiro becomes incredibly despondent and unresponsive due to her anthropophobia.
Tet (テト Teto)
Voiced by: Rie Kugimiya
The God of Disboard. As the only God, Tet does not belong to any of the sixteen races, and can change his appearance at will. He was once known as the "god of play," but after all of the other gods were defeated in the eternal war, he won the new title of One True God by default, and established the Ten Oaths. After Shiro and Sora defeat him in an online game of chess, he summons the siblings to Disboard, and asks for them to save Imanity. However later on, Tet admits that his main motive for bringing them to his world had really been to cure his boredom and stir things up. He has faith in the siblings' skills, and expects that one day they will come to challenge him for the title of God. In order to challenge Tet, the siblings must first collect each of the different chess pieces from the sixteen races. Under the Ten Oaths, this means that they must unite all of the races of the Exceed under their rule to play against Tet.
Stephanie Dola (ステファニー・ドーラ Sutefanī Dōra)
Voiced by: Yōko Hikasa
Referred to as "Steph" by Sora and Shiro, Stephanie is the granddaughter of the previous king of Elkia. She constantly defends her grandfather - nicknamed the "Fool King" by others - and hopes that one day his faith in the potential of humanity can be validated. She is quite beautiful and popular, which often prompts harassment from the siblings. After she loses a Rock-Paper-Scissors game to Sora, she is ordered by Sora to "fall in love" with him as a punishment, forcing her to become the siblings' underling with no choice but to comply with their demands. Steph is an excellent student and has achieved top grades at the nation's best school, despite her bad performance in games and her somewhat air-headed personality; a running gag is that Sora and Shiro are always completely taken by surprise whenever she shows even the slightest hints of being smart and capable of following the conversation. Over time, Steph finds herself falling in love with Sora, but vehemently denies it and blames her feelings on the Rock-Paper-Scissors game loss, even though the effect seems to have expired long ago. As Jibril points out, she had been ordered to "fall in love," not "stay in love." Like her grandfather, Steph is prone to taking large risks in order to find her opponent's weakness, and is not very good at playing games. She sometimes challenges Sora when she finds a game she thinks she can win, but always ends up losing and getting forced to do something embarrassing. Yet as she continues to challenge the siblings, her skill in games and cheating begins to improve; while she is still no match for the siblings, she becomes capable of easily beating any human.
Kurami Zell (クラミー・ツェル Kuramī Tseru)
Voiced by: Yuka Iguchi
An 18-year-old human girl. Despite the cold and confident personality that she often displays, she can also be very sensitive and self-conscious. She lacks confidence in her proportions, especially her breast size. Initially, she believes that the human race of Imanity is weak and pathetic. Born and raised in Elven Garde, the country of the Elves, her family has been slaves to the Nilvalen family ever since her great-grandfather's era. However, Fil Nilvalen, her Elf master, has always treated her kindly and ends up befriending her, and they have maintained a close and inseparable bond ever since despite their master-slave relationship. In order to win the king's contest, she allies with several different races, believing that humans will never be strong and must depend on others in order to survive. She makes it to the final round of the contest by cheating with the help of Fil's Elf magic, but loses to Sora and Shiro when they use her own schemes against her. When Sora mocks her for her underestimation of humankind, she throws away her confident façade and bursts into tears while childishly calling him names. Later on, she returns to challenge the siblings, but when she loses, she is forced to relinquish all of her memories to the siblings. In the end, Sora chooses to share their combined memories between them, returning her memories, as well as giving her his. Seeing Sora's past wins both her allegiance and trust, and she agrees to join forces. When she witnesses the incredible skill of the siblings during their match against the Werebeasts, she begins believing in the strength and potential in humanity. In order to help Sora fulfill his vow to unite all of the races, she now assists Fil in claiming the leadership of the Elves.
Jibril (ジブリール Jiburīru)
Voiced by: Yukari Tamura
At 6,407 years old, she is the youngest and strongest of the Flügel race. She has an avid love and passion for knowledge, and can speak every one of the 700 languages in Disboard. She depicts a very bright and airy personality, though sometimes her words hold dark implications. She once blew up one of the Elves' cities with a single blast and stole all of their books. She used to be a member of the Council of 18 Wings, the Avant Heim government, and still holds a formidable degree of influence. Against the book-sharing law, she leaves her homeland and wins Imanity's main library from the previous king - Steph's grandfather. When Jibril is challenged by Sora for her library, she places herself and everything she has as a wager, firmly believing that knowledge and the places where it is stored is just as valuable as one's life. Thus, after she is defeated, she holds true to her bet and becomes the servant of Sora and Shiro. She tends to have a condescending manner towards other races, initially including Imanity, but after she accepts Sora as her master she gradually begins to understand and accept his belief in the potential of humankind. Unlike Steph, Jibril is happy to be the siblings' underling. She shows growing feelings for Sora, though she mentions once that she is not capable of feeling the emotion of love.
Fil Nilvalen (フィール・ニルヴァレン Fīru Niruvaren)
Voiced by: Mamiko Noto
An Elf girl. She is 52 years old, despite her young appearance. Her family, the Nilvalen family, is one of the most famous in Elven Garde and has served in the Upper Diet for generations. The last head of the family passed away last year, making Fil the leader of the family. While other Elves call her the shame of Nilvalen for being a 2nd rank magic user, Fil is actually a 6th rank magic user, but chooses to keep it a secret. She is currently a vice-congresswoman in Elven Garde and acts as an Upper Diet member, but plans to free the slaves. She mentions once that she doesn't care about her family at all and even thinks it would be better if the whole country would just vanish. She is Kurami's master, childhood friend, and game partner. Even though Kurami is her slave, Fil still cherishes her very much as a friend and is willing to do anything for her, frequently acting as her mother figure. As Kurami's game partner, she often helps her to cheat with her Elf magic. When Kurami loses her second match against the siblings and is forced to relinquish her memories, Fil begs for mercy on her behalf. Sora agrees, but demands an additional favor: the ability to alter Fil's memories. She joins forces with the siblings along with Kurami, but it is revealed that she holds a grudge against Jibril for killing many of her people in an attack during the great war. After realizing that they need Jibril for Sora’s plans, she forgives Jibril, but only after making her lick her feet and say, “Please forgive me, Fil-sama.” In order to help Sora fulfill his vow to unite all the races, she now works with Kurami to claim the leadership of the Elves.
Izuna Hatsuse (初瀬 いづな Hatsuse Izuna)
Voiced by: Miyuki Sawashiro
The young 8-year-old ambassador of the Werebeast race. She possesses the rare ability of Blood Destruction. She is instantly accepted and adored by Sora and Shiro, who are both extremely fond of petting her fur. Likewise, Izuna mentions once that she prefers the siblings over her grandfather, much to his frustration and their delight. Like Shiro, she also hates baths. She is still learning the Imanity language, and has a habit of saying "please" after everything in order to make it sound polite. Initially, as the talented Werebeast representative, she had always felt extremely pressured to win every single game, fearing that failure would bring about the suffering and unhappiness of her people. As a result, she has never enjoyed any of the games she's played, until her match against Sora and Shiro. Though she lost the game, she had still given it her all, and - much to her amazement - she'd had fun playing for the very first time in her life. Her game against the siblings earns them both her friendship and allegiance. After the Werebeasts are forced to join the Elkia Federation, Izuna becomes the siblings' underling under Miko's request. Steph has noted that Izuna shares many similarities with Sora and Shiro; she has a lack of common knowledge and holds an arrogance towards others, but she also possesses great intelligence and has a skilled competence in gaming.
"Miko" (『巫女』 Miko)
Voiced by: Naomi Shindo
The "Shrine Priestess," and leader of the Werebeasts. She possesses the rare ability of Blood Destruction. She lost her real name during the formation of the country when she placed it as a wager. Despite her intimidating appearance, she cares deeply for her people and always puts their welfare first. She looks down on Imanity initially, but after forming a truce with Sora and joining the Elkia Federation, she begins to have faith in the siblings. She orders Izuna and Ino to follow them, believing that both could learn more from Sora and Shiro.
Ino Hatsuse (初瀬いの Hatsuse Ino)
Voiced by: Mugihito
Izuna's 98-year-old grandfather, who works at the embassy of Elkia. Later, he also becomes the siblings' underling. He is extremely protective and possessive of Izuna; he becomes unhappy whenever she is close to Sora and Shiro, and constantly tries to fend off the siblings. According to Miko, he has thirty wives. He was one of the participants in the games between Imanity's former king and the Werebeasts.
